The police in Kano State have nabbed a 30-year previous Gambo Yakubu of Brigade Quarters, Kano, for impersonating Tremendous Eagles Captain Ahmad Musa.

Police spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), stated the suspect, posing as Musa, had defrauded unsuspecting members of the general public, of big sums of cash earlier than he was arrested.

“The suspect, a former employee on the Brigade Quarters Sport Centre, used to current himself because the captain of Tremendous Eagles (Ahmed Musa).

“He solid paperwork bearing the title Ahmed Musa and defrauded harmless members of the general public,” he stated.

Haruna stated {that a} criticism was lodged by the Supervisor of Ahmed Musa Sport Centre, Musa Muhammad.

Upon receiving the criticism, Haruna stated, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Habu Sani, raised a crew of detectives led by CSP Abdulkarim Abdullahi, to arrest the offender.

The suspect instructed newsmen he spent the cash he received in accommodations on his girlfriends in Sabon Gari space of Kano.

Haruna stated the suspect is being investigated for alleged “impersonation, character defamation and fraud,” after which he shall be charged to court docket.

Delighted with information of arrest of his impersonator, Ahmed Musa -the Tremendous Eagles Captain, visited the state Commissioner of Police, Habu Sani, to understand his efforts in crime preventing.
