The Home of Representatives on Tuesday faulted the suspension of the Administration of the Nigeria Social insurance coverage Belief Fund (NSITF) by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, describing it as draconian and towards presidential directives.
Adopting a movement of pressing public significance sponsored by Rep. Leke Abejide, the Home resolved to research the matter with a view to making sure that justice is completed.
Rep. Abejide stated the Minister lacked the ability to droop the administration of the company since there was a board which by no means met to take any determination on the destiny of the administration, including that even If the board had met, solely the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation has the ability to problem such letter.
Rep. James Abiodun Faleke stated the suspension of the administration was to permit the Minister have entry to the finances of the company during which he inserted about N2 billion initiatives and single handedly obtained his spouse who work within the workplace of the Head of Service to signal a letter granting him permission to rent Insurance coverage brokers for the fund.
Rep. Sada Soli whose investigative report on the NSITF is but to be thought-about by the Home stated from the result his investigation, he can conveniently conclude that the current Chairman of the NSITF board is a crony of the Minister.
Soli stated the Minister refused to inaugurate Comrade Frank Kokori as Chairman of the board even after his appointment by the President due to his realisation that Kokori is not going to permit corrupt practices within the company.
