Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has mourned the demise of Chief Bode Akindele, the Parakoyi of Ibadanland.
Chief Bode Akindele died in Lagos on Monday on the age of 88.
Makinde mentioned: “I used to be saddened to listen to that Chief Bode Akindele, the Parakoyi of Ibadanland has handed on.
“I be part of the nice individuals of Oyo State to mourn an illustrious son: a profitable entrepreneur, a famend industrialist and philanthropist. My ideas and prayers are along with his household and family members.
“My late father used to wish that I develop as much as be like Chief Akindele.
“I used to be privileged to fulfill him lately, and we had discussions relating to utilizing his medical facility, ARAMED, as an isolation centre for Oyo State.
“He was additionally the one largest donor to our state’s COVID-19 Endowment Fund.”
“He shall be sorely missed for his kind-heartedness and good deeds. Might his soul relaxation in peace and should God grant his household the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.” He added.
