Citing financial realities, occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic, the Rivers State Government Council has lowered the state’s 2020 Price range from N530.8billion to N300.4billion.
An announcement by the Commissioner for Data and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim, on Thursday, stated the finances was lowered by 48 per cent.
The assertion stated the choice was reached on the council assembly presided over by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

It quoted the Commissioner for Finance and Supervisory Commissioner for Price range and Financial Planning, Mr. Isaac Kamalu, as saying that the council additionally gave approval for the assessment of the 2020 Medium Time period Expenditure Framework to accommodate the downsizing of the finances.
He defined that the choice was taken following consideration of all needed parameters designed to supply the state purposeful service and efficient management.
