AN All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Edo State, John Mayaki, has urged Governor Godwin Obaseki to desist from strong-arming the Financial and Monetary Crime Fee (EFCC) into pursuing its politically-motivated name for the investigation of his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole, over alleged wrongdoing within the development of the Benin Specialist Hospital.

Reacting to the protest staged by supporters of Obaseki on the EFCC in Benin yesterday, Mayaki dismissed the panel report that fashioned the idea of the decision to analyze Oshiomhole.

In a press release in Abuja, Mayaki acknowledged that the composition of the investigative committee mirrored from the outset “an underhand motive geared in direction of indicting and demeaning Oshiomhole”, and never in all intent and goal in the most effective curiosity of the individuals of Edo State.
