The Christian Affiliation of Nigeria(CAN) in Ondo State has ordered Christians to avoid church buildings on Easter Day.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had earlier granted permission to the church buildings to carry providers on Easter day supplied they adopted laid down procedures.

However the discovery of a COVID-19 affected person within the state on Friday made the state authorities rethink its choice.
An announcement by the Ondo Chairman of CAN, Rev. Ayo Oladapo, urged all Christians within the state to carry Easter providers at house.
In accordance with the assertion: “In view of the current conditions with the second index case of COVID-19 within the state, and in due session with all stakeholders. We have now resolved to cancel the Easter Sunday Service.”
